At Global Bar & Grill, we believe our role serving customers and the community is a critical one. Like you, we are continuing to monitor and evaluate COVID-19. While the excellent customer service for which we are known is important, the safety of our team members and customers remains our top priority.

Wearing Face Masks inside our Restaurant:

This is based on the Centers for Disease Control recommendation as an important way to slow the spread of the COVID-19 Virus and, as such, many communities have already mandated face coverings. Exceptions are guests who have trouble breathing or who have pre-existing conditions that make it difficult to wear face coverings.

Please read on for more details on our actions to support our customer and team member safety including supplementary company paid benefits to support our team members ability to care for themselves during this time.

OUR RESTAURANT EXPERIENCE:

Team member and customer safety remains our top priority. We have taken a range of actions and preventative measures in our stores to keep our guests and team members safe.

What is Global Bar & Grill doing to keep guests safe and healthy as they eat in the restaurants?

  • Enhanced and more frequent cleaning and disinfecting of our restaurants, particularly in high-touch areas (including payment touch-pads) using disinfectants for cleaning that are EPA-approved to prevent emerging viral pathogens claims associated with COVID-19.

  • Clear acrylic shields at Checkout.

  • Staggering the opening and use of registers in order to maximize the distance between customers at checkout.

  • Monitoring and metering customer access to stores as needed or based on state or local requirements of the number of persons permitted in the building at one time.

  • Posting signage and floor decals emphasizing the importance of social distancing while shopping.

  • All of our team members are required to wear masks and gloves at all times, and where state or local regulations require that all individuals (including customers) wear masks, we are stationing a team member at the entrance to ensure that everyone who enters the building complies.

  • Adjusting store hours when appropriate to support extended cleaning and re-stocking.

Why should I wear a mask?

This is based on the Centers for Disease Control recommendation as an important way to slow the spread of the COVID-19 Virus and as such, many communities have already mandated face coverings. Exceptions are children under the age of 2 and guests who have trouble breathing or who have pre-existing conditions that make it difficult to wear face coverings. We are happy to provide a face covering if you don’t have one with you.

What is Global Bar & Grill doing to keep our team members safe and healthy?

  • Requiring use of mask and gloves at all times, and providing these to all team members.

  • Requiring team members to stay home when they are feeling unwell.

  • Offering new, additional emergency paid sick time and excusing absences related to COVID-19 events.

  • Requiring temperature checks before every shift using No Touch Infrared Thermometers. Team members with a temperature are asked to return home.

  • Close monitoring of the health of our team members, including a daily checklist to track and monitor any signs and symptoms.

  • At the restaurant at all times, a team member is assigned to act as a Health & Safety/COVID Captain to ensure all safety protocols and procedures are being followed and executed daily.

  • Shifting our hours to increase the number of team members who work outside of normal operating hours (e.g., web order fulfillment overnight or in the early morning) to minimize the number of people in the building at any given time.

  • Revising our service standards to encourage all team members to leave 6 feet of “Space to be Safe” between them, customers, and other team members.

  • Reminding employees to practice social distancing, follow good hygiene, wash their hands frequently, and avoid touching their eyes, nose and mouth.
